On 22nd/December/2017 we launched a Community Senior’s Club.
The event which was hosted at Queens Park Community Church was a Christmas Themed Tea Party, attended by several community seniors who shared lots of light moments with each other and the You & I Care team over tea, snacks and music.
Reflecting on the vision of You & I care, “to contribute to the changing face of ageing by replacing the fear of getting old with hope and promise; loneliness and isolation with companionship and providing care in one’s home and not in an institution”, Mrs. Lausa Biragi, You & I care’s registered manager spoke about the purpose of the senior’s club in fulfilling You & I Care’s commitment to changing the face of ageing, as well as enhancing the lives of seniors, stopping isolation and keeping them actively part of the local community.
The Club will always convene every last Friday of the month, 2-4 PM for;
- Advice,
- Support,
- Activities,
- Socialising,
- Tea parties,
- Music and much more.
